Returning to Portsmouth's beautiful Square Tower after two previous sell-outs, award-winning singer/songwriter Kirsten Adamson (daughter of rock legend Stuart Adamson (Big Country, Skids) summons the same heart- stopping purity as Sandy Denny, by way of Emmylou Harris and Kate Bush. Backed by The Tanagers, Adamson brings a warm, expansive band sound to her distinctive blend of heartland Americana, folk and rock. Kirsten followed her critically acclaimed last album, the stunning Dreamviewer, with a sold out UK headline tour, as well as appearances across Europe. In autumn 2026, the band join The Proclaimers for a major UK tour, playing rooms including the London Palladium, Manchester Apollo, Newcastle City Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall and Edinburgh Playhouse. In 2027, Kirsten Adamson & The Tanagers release Live in London, captured at the Water Rats and documenting a band that has grown in confidence, scale and reputation over the past two years. Award-winning Scottish singer-songwriter Kirsten Adamson has built a reputation for emotionally direct songwriting, soaring vocals and heartland Americana folk-rock. The daughter of Big Country and Skids frontman Stuart Adamson, she has steadily carved out a musical identity entirely her own, drawing comparisons to Sandy Denny, Emmylou Harris and Kate Bush. Following the release of Dreamviewer in 2025, Adamson and her band The Tanagers have toured extensively across the UK and Europe, with festival appearances and support slots culminating in a major UK tour opening for The Proclaimers in autumn 2026. Their forthcoming album, 'Live In London' captures the band at The Water Rats after several years spent developing their sound together on the road.
