About this event

Bruce Edhouse: Just The Nonsense Please is on Sunday 8 November 2026 at Fishergate Point Studios, Nottingham, with doors at 13:40. Tickets start at £8.80, including the booking fee.

How many jokes about aubergines do I know? Why did I form an army out of all the neighbourhood dogs? How did I cure my lad's speech impediment using the negative reinforcement of corporal punishment, before finding an even more effective way? And why aren't you as relaxed as you should be? Relax now! Relax faster!! Welcome to my "best of, kind of" show - made up of my favourite bits, sketches and songs from the 10 or so full length shows I've 1) written; 2) put hours and hours of work into perfecting; 3) performed once; 4) got distracted by the next shiny thing and; 5) generally never got round to performing again. This show is guaranteed free from wholesome messages or profound wisdom. Just the nonsense please!

This show takes an ordinary everyday event and turns it into a drama. Witless are: Chris Collins: Having improvised for just over a year, Chris found that his total inability to hold down a job or hobby uniquely qualified him for an art form where you just make stuff up. With over 25 years of acting experience, he’s thrilled to learn from the greats, though "Witless" isn't just a clever show name—it’s a frighteningly apt medical diagnosis. Adam Hodgson: Adam has been improvising since drama school and has performed worldwide. He currently runs an improv group in Derby, where his family also lives (coincidentally). Adam actually met Chris while teaching a workshop, proving that those who can, do; those who can’t, end up in a duo with Chris. Witles...
