The Crescent Comedy Deirdre O'Kane: All The Rage Thursday 25th March Doors 7pm, Show 7.30pm *This is a seated show with all seating unreserved* Deirdre O’Kane grabs the zeitgeist once again with a brand new show in a world that feels decidedly off kilter. She contrasts everyday domestic failures with bigger moments of historical injustice, while taking aim at the double tragedies of heartbreak and getting Christmas all wrong. Nothing is sacred and no one is safe from O’Kane’s mischievous eye as she turns irritation, absurdity and outrage into brilliantly observed and hilarious stand-up. "Unique star quality." The Guardian “This positive, slick, sparkling show is a tonic.” Irish Independent "Applause follows her all the way down the street." The Scotsman "Won the audience over from the moment she opened her mouth" Metro "It's a pleasure and a privilege to witness O'Kane" The Reviews Hub

Paul Sinha: 2 Sinha Lifetime

The Crescent Community Venue · York

The Crescent Comedy Paul Sinha: 2 Sinha Lifetime Tuesday 3rd November Doors 7pm, Show 7.30pm Tickets are £20 (+ b/f) in advance and available from See Tickets. *This is a seated show with all seating unreserved* Paul Sinha returned to the Edinburgh Fringe in 2025 after a dramatic 2023 that saw him booking a ticket to Edinburgh’s Royal Infirmary half-way through his run. The autumn that followed became a flurry of tests, scans and finally the surgery which set him on the road to recovery. With no small debt to the NHS, Paul celebrated his 30th anniversary in stand-up last year. He is delighted to be touring his latest Edinburgh Fringe show around the UK. As seen on: The Chase, Taskmaster, QI, Would I Lie To You? and The Hit List. Press for 2 Sinha Lifetime: ‘12 must-see comedy shows at Edinburgh Fringe 2025 - He may entertain as a Chaser and impress as a quizzer, but he truly shines on stage. Sinha is an absolute worldie of a stand up and the fact he’s a bona fide polymath shouldn’t dilute that fact.’ Rolling Stone ‘In short, it is clever. It is honest. It is very, very funny.’ ★★★★★ Broadway Baby ‘An upbeat, quick-witted, wide-ranging, gag heavy comedy...

Martin McAloon of Prefab Sprout 'Steve McQueen - Slight Return' Sunday 22nd November, 6.30pm Tickets are £24.50 (+ b/f) in advance and available from See Tickets. *This is a standing show* Following the overwhelming response to last year's celebrated Two Wheels Good tour, Martin McAloon is hitting the road again this Autumn — this time bringing Prefab Sprout's landmark album Steve McQueen to towns, cities and venues that the tour didn't reach first time around. One of the most beloved British records of the 1980s, Steve McQueen will be performed in full — and that's just the beginning. As with last year's shows, Martin will also be drawing from the wider Prefab Sprout catalogue, bringing to life as many of his brother Paddy's songs as the evening will hold. Last year's repertoire stretched to over thirty songs beyond the album itself. Steve McQueen – Slight Return is a joyful acknowledgement of the demand that never quite went away. "Following the national and international success of the Two Wheels Good tour," says Martin, "it seemed right to acknowledge just how many people were asking for more — in places we hadn't yet reached. I'm buoyed by the reception these songs re...
