Tom Bliss brings his acclaimed storytelling, musicianship and trademark warmth back to the stage — and this time he’s doing it for a cause close to his heart. Lauded across the folk world for performances described as *“astonishingly moving and inspirational”* and *“spellbinding”*, Tom now plays exclusively to raise money for MS research, adding to the £20,500 already generated. For these special shows he’s reunited the band he first formed in 1999 — the mighty **Slide** — featuring John Layton on bass, Derek Magee on fiddle, whistle and mandolin, Neil Whitaker on guitar and 5‑string banjo, and Tom himself weaving everything else together with effortless skill. Expect rich stories, superb musicianship, humour, heart, and the kind of evening that disappears in a flash because you’re having such a good time. These are rare appearances, performed purely to support MS research, and they promise to be memorable nights of top‑class folk from musicians who know exactly how to lift a room. HDIF Children's Disco Halloween Party

Date change! This is now happening on Halloween itself - Saturday October 31st! A Halloween edition of our all-ages daytime disco! Come and dance to indie pop, northern soul, and Motown, with some spooky gems and graveyard smashes thrown in for good measure. And, of course, if you feel like dressing up, then please do! Come and rattle your bones to "There's A Ghost In My House". "Monster Mash", and lots lots more! We've held the HDIF Children's disco at the End Of The Road festival since 2011, and they've been lots and lots of fun. We play our usual mixture of indie pop and soul, and the discos are a wonderful opportunity for kids to bop around to Belle & Sebastian, Allo Darlin', Ramones, Pixies and more, and for their parents to bop along with them. It can often be hard to get out to club nights once you become a parent, so these discos are as much a chance for the parents to go out dancing as they are for the kids. We also want to provide an alternative to the many rave-themed kids discos that are on offer in London.
