The annual Jamboree Halloween Party! A truly ghoulish night of brash, theatrical, hair-raising rock'n'roll to celebrate All Hallows' Eve. Conceived in the cauldron of demon frontman Dan Spanner’s maniacal mind, Spanner Jazz Punks, the troublesome offspring of a frenetic marriage between sleazy punk jazz and psychedelic performance art have their roots in the legendary French chainsaw-juggling circus company Archaos. Join them and special guests in a night that raises the dead (and alive), and of course, dress as extravagently and diabolically as you like. Headliners Spanner Jazz Punks have been steeped in a brew of psychedelic rock, ska, gypsy, klezmer and big band swing, and come out kicking, screaming and spinning yarns of quixotic, tragic, heroic ne’er-do-well adventure. The Bubbleologist Cabaret Show! Vivi Viva is a London-based dancer, bubble artist, and illusionist who transforms the whimsical into the wicked. Renowned for her mesmerizing visual spectacles at festivals like Cirque de la Quirk, Vivi steps out of the daylight and into the shadows for a special Halloween night performance. Blending striking, fluid choreography with specialized Led-reactive fluids, she create...

Django Chutney + Le Trio qu'à trois at Jamboree

Jamboree · London

A Wednesday night of sweet, swinging Gypsy-Jazz at Jamboree with Django Chutney, bringing their special sound rooted in the 1930s Hot Club era and reaching through decades and styles from New Orleans jazz to Chicago blues and Parisian musette! Django Chutney have been described as a virtuosic gypsy-jazz “manouche et trois”, due in equal parts for their respect for the genre, an unruly chaotic energy and a huge dose of tongue-in-cheek humour. They combine tightly woven three part vocal harmonies reminiscent of '30s and '40s American vocal groups The Mills Brothers and the Ink Spots; ridiculous guitar show-offery that draws as much from Django Reinhardt as it does from Guthrie Govan, and double bass solos that drag Pops Foster's slap technique kicking and screaming into the 21st century. The Brighton-based trio have been blowing away audiences since 2021. In support, Le Trio qu'à trois, comprising of Gilles, Max, and Gus, revisit classic jazz standards. Jamboree food option: Our ‘Zer’ kitchen is open from 5pm serving delicious Middle Eastern fusion food for you to enjoy a pre-gig meal/snack if you wish!

HDIF Children's Disco Halloween Party

The Phoenix Club · London

Date change! This is now happening on Halloween itself - Saturday October 31st! A Halloween edition of our all-ages daytime disco! Come and dance to indie pop, northern soul, and Motown, with some spooky gems and graveyard smashes thrown in for good measure. And, of course, if you feel like dressing up, then please do! Come and rattle your bones to "There's A Ghost In My House". "Monster Mash", and lots lots more! We've held the HDIF Children's disco at the End Of The Road festival since 2011, and they've been lots and lots of fun. We play our usual mixture of indie pop and soul, and the discos are a wonderful opportunity for kids to bop around to Belle & Sebastian, Allo Darlin', Ramones, Pixies and more, and for their parents to bop along with them. It can often be hard to get out to club nights once you become a parent, so these discos are as much a chance for the parents to go out dancing as they are for the kids. We also want to provide an alternative to the many rave-themed kids discos that are on offer in London. If you'd rather dance to your favourite indie pop and Motown songs with your children, then we're the disco for you! Music will be played at a reasonable level. We'l...
