Nick Parker and The False Alarms is on Friday 11 December 2026 at Marr's Bar, Worcester, with doors at 20:00. Tickets start at £16.80, including the booking fee.
Glastonbury based Nick Parker started gigging in his early teens playing mandolin and singing in folk/rock/skiffle band ‘Why?’, and spent the next 10 years bouncing around on stages at hundreds of venues and festivals around the UK and Europe. In 1998 Nick called it a day with Why? and started guitar band ‘Tobermory’. After various false starts, a few flirtations with industry ‘big’ boys and a few tours in Germany, Tobermory played their last gig in 2004. In 2010 Nick embarked on a solo career and has since enjoyed over 30 tours around the UK and Europe, releasing five full-length albums along the way, many songs from which have been featured on BBC6 Music among many other radio stations. Nick’s songs are often tongue-in-cheek and cheerful, and on the rare occasion when fun IS poked (usually at himself) it is always with a wry smile and an element of satire. The audience are often encouraged to be a part of the show, from holding up lyrics or creating sound effects, to providing basslines or collectively being Nick’s duet partner. Although primarily a solo effort Nick often plays with his band ‘Nick Parker and the False Alarms’ which is a folky/rocky/country aff...

Get Ready to Rock with Guns Or Roses: Your Ultimate Tribute to ‘The Most Dangerous Band in the World Guns Or Roses are without a doubt the most entertaining tribute to ‘the most dangerous band in the world’. Over the past five years they have built up a large and loyal following throughout the UK and Europe and in July 2015 were watched by millions when they appeared in an episode of BBC One’s ‘Don’t Tell the Bride’. John Sumbler is widely regarded as the most authentic Slash impersonator on the scene, recreating each riff, solo and lick to the note. It has to be seen to be believed, and up front with Martin ‘Axl’ Colley’s powerful vocals, these two are a dynamic force to be reckoned with. Backed by three other superb musicians, Guns Or Roses are the most musically accurate tribute you will find! Playing everybody’s favourites from ‘Appetite for Destruction’, ‘Lies’ and both ‘Use Your Illusion’ albums, as well as live elements such as the famous Slash ‘Godfather’ solo, Guns Or Roses deliver over 2 hours of high energy rock and roll, in full costume with all the swagger and attitude of the original Hollywood hellraisers. So don your bandanas, le...

Dinner & Table Reservations from 5pm. DJs from 7pm-2am Boisdale has Jools Holland as Patron of Music, a live programme that runs seven nights a week and a NEXO sound system installed because the music demands it. Mi-Soul Radio has Gordon Mac MBE, Kiss FM in its DNA and thirty years of soul, house and R&B running through everything it does. On Friday nights the two come together on the first floor and the result is exactly what you would hope for. The selectors rotate through the Mi-Soul roster each week, which keeps the sets fresh without ever dropping the standard. Deep soulful house one Friday, classic R&B the next, but always played by someone who has a genuine relationship with the music rather than a playlist and a laptop. Start on the heated terrace with a cocktail overlooking Cabot Square, move inside when the night builds and let the sound system do the rest. First Floor Bar & Heated Garden Terrace Nestled in Cabot Square and overlooking the fountain with the Canary Wharf skyline beyond, the first floor bar and heated garden terrace is a destination in its own right.
