DJ Nights: Mi-Soul Radio Fridays

DJs from 7pm-2am Boisdale has Jools Holland as Patron of Music, a live programme that runs seven nights a week and a NEXO sound system installed because the music demands it. Mi-Soul Radio has Gordon Mac MBE, Kiss FM in its DNA and thirty years of soul, house and R&B running through everything it does. On Friday nights the two come together on the first floor and the result is exactly what you would hope for. The selectors rotate through the Mi-Soul roster each week, which keeps the sets fresh without ever dropping the standard. Jazz At St Andrews presents; Andy Panayi Quintet

Andy Panayi is one of the UK's most well-respected sax players, with a biography that reads like a who's who of jazz. In this project he looks to the music and compositions of one of hard-bop's most melodic, yet often overlooked trumpet players – Kenny Dorham. With Chris Coull – trumpet, Mark Edwards – piano, Simon Thorpe – bass, and Joe Edwards – drums.
