The Subhumans are a highly influential UK anarcho-punk band formed in 1980, known for their fast, politically charged music and radical lyrics criticizing authority, capitalism, and societal norms, making them key figures in the anarcho-punk scene. Transmission - The Sound of Joy Division

K.K. Club · Corby

WHAT PEOPLE HAVE SAID ABOUT US "Heartfelt, faithful, emotional and devoted, this is no tribute. It's an act of remembrance. Don't ever fade away guys." (Assembly, Leamington - Oct 2024) "Just a note to say I saw the absolutely fantastic Transmission the Sound of Joy Division in Kendal on Friday night and they were nothing short of brilliant. If you get the chance to see them - don't think twice." (Apr 2024) "I was at the Stamford gig last night, and want to thank the band for a great performance. It's so obvious you really care about the JD legacy - I think the whole audience picked up on the authenticity that you create. The range of songs chosen was brilliant, ranging from better known songs to semi-obscure material, and b-sides. I was lucky enough to see Joy Division three times, and so was maybe a bit wary of how this gig would compare. And as tribute bands aren't really my thing, it was a late decision to go, partly prompted by being able to take my teenage son who has independently developed an interest in the band. I'm very happy to say I would recommend anyone to see Transmission if Joy Divisions music means something to them - and I really hope to make another gig...
