Just Dropped In, Coventry

About this event

The Klittens is on Sunday 1 November 2026 at Just Dropped In, Coventry, with doors at 18:00. Tickets start at £8.80, including the booking fee.

This five piece combines their love for pop music and dark sentiments with a punk ethos. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of artists - such as The Ronettes, MF Doom, Dry Cleaning and Kate Bush - they've crafted a sound that's truly and twistedly their own. What initially began as an outlet, both creatively and politically, mutated into a musical life mission for its members. Their DIY approach, from songwriting to releasing music and tour management, is what makes The Klittens the ragtag bunch of misfits they are. The band consists of Yaël Dekker (vocals), Winnie Conradi (guitar), Katja Kahana (guitar), Marrit Meinema (bass guitar), and Laurie Zantinge (drums).

Maria BC

Just Dropped In · Coventry

"Maria BC is a classically trained vocalist, a dexterous guitarist, and a songwriter with an innate gift for vast, stately melodies, but the defining strength of their music is the mood: an overarching melancholy that shadows everything like heavy storm clouds." — Pitchfork Ohio-born, Oakland, CA-based artist Maria BC (they/them) has slowly opened up their process over the years, moving from the one-room recording process of 2021 EP Devil’s Rain — careful not to disturb their roommates or neighbors — to the untreated apartment wanderings of Hyaline (2022, Father/Daughter), to the home of a family friend featuring an out-of-tune baby Steinway piano where they recorded their Sacred Bones debut, Spike Field (2023). 2026 will see the release of their sophomore Sacred Bones record Marathon — recorded across the West Coast, incorporating foley recordings of nature and creaking homes, out February 27th! Marathon is a dynamic exploration of endurance, of pushing forward, resisting, observing and surviving. “For this record I decided to spend less time on production and recording and more time on songwriting,” Maria BC explains. “The result, I think, is more thematically con...

The Early Years & Sennen

Just Dropped In · Coventry

The Early Years and Sennen head out for their first live dates together since 2007 on a UK tour this November. Now reunited as labelmates on celebrated indie imprint Sonic Cathedral, both bands grew out of the fertile UK shoegaze adjacent scene of the early 2000s – the former more influenced by krautrock and drone, the latter combining post-rock and harmonies – but they’ve been silent for the best part of a decade. Until now. The Early Years released their long-awaited third album, Modern Moonlight, at the end of May to great acclaim, while Sennen are also gearing up to share their first new material in over a decade.

Pan Amsterdam

Just Dropped In · Coventry

Trumpeter, rapper and sonic wanderer Pan Amsterdam has carved out one of the most distinctive voices operating at the intersection of jazz and hip-hop today. Pan Amsterdam is a musical enigma wrapped in an enduring riddle. His creator is a jazz musician from Houston who’s found fame working with Detroit punk rock God, Iggy Pop, and British indie royalty, Metronomy, and now makes shapeshifting, adventurous hip hop out of the music’s spiritual home, New York. He’s an irreverent character born out of frustration and named after a misunderstanding, yet one who’s on the verge of releasing his fifth album of truth-slaying, genre-crossing rhymes and beats. The result is a catalogue that feels both deeply rooted in Black American musical tradition and completely untethered by convention.

Swansea Sound

Just Dropped In · Coventry

Swansea Sound: a band that came into being during lockdown and decided that fast, loud, political indiepop punk was the answer to being stuck indoors. Who needs introspection? Hue Williams is reunited with Pooh Sticks singing partner Amelia Fletcher (ex- Talulah Gosh, Heavenly). Rob Pursey (also ex-Heavenly) and Ian Button provide the noise.
