Index For Working Musik

The Apothecary Tap · Banbury

STRUMMER ROOM RECORDS PRESENTS... By arrangement with Outsider Artists INDEX FOR WORKING MUSIK with support from Sundaughter INDEPENDENT VENUE WEEK 2027 For our first Independent Venue Week 2027 show, we're delighted to welcome the brilliant Index For Working Musik to The Apothecary Tap, Banbury, for a very special headline show. Emerging from an East End bunker in 2023, the band released their striking debut Dragging the Needlework for the Kids at Uphole on Tough Love Records, followed by the experimental Indexe’e. Their acclaimed second album, Which Direction Goes The Beam (2025), was described by Uncut as “arcane, post-industrial Anglicana, with guitars as its sacrament”. Their latest release, Bunker Intimations II (2026), captures 50 minutes of spontaneous experimentation, praised by The Guardian as “a brilliant, haunting set of recordings, lurking between hypnotic space rock and creaking post-rock instrumentals”. With their third studio album and accompanying tour scheduled for spring 2027, this is a fantastic opportunity to catch the band in an intimate grassroots venue ahead of an exciting new chapter. Support comes from Sundaughter, a four-piece from Reading blend...

DJ Nights: Mi-Soul Radio Christmas

Boisdale of Canary Wharf · London

Dinner & Table Reservations from 5pm. DJs from 7pm-2am Boisdale has Jools Holland as Patron of Music, a live programme that runs seven nights a week and a NEXO sound system installed because the music demands it. Mi-Soul Radio has Gordon Mac MBE, Kiss FM in its DNA and thirty years of soul, house and R&B running through everything it does. On Friday nights the two come together on the first floor and the result is exactly what you would hope for. The selectors rotate through the Mi-Soul roster each week, which keeps the sets fresh without ever dropping the standard. Deep soulful house one Friday, classic R&B the next, but always played by someone who has a genuine relationship with the music rather than a playlist and a laptop. Start on the heated terrace with a cocktail overlooking Cabot Square, move inside when the night builds and let the sound system do the rest. First Floor Bar & Heated Garden Terrace Nestled in Cabot Square and overlooking the fountain with the Canary Wharf skyline beyond, the first floor bar and heated garden terrace is a destination in its own right. Fine wines, premium spirits and expertly crafted cocktails, with a selection that covers everything from rar...
