Freakscene presents... Chuck Ragan. People discover Chuck Ragan in different ways. Some people know Ragan from the pioneering punk act Hot Water Music he’s co-fronted for the past three decades. Others are aware of his successful solo career or the Revival Tour, a collection of traveling troubadours that included his peers like Frank Turner and the Gaslight Anthem’s Brian Fallon. Some folks may have even come across him from the successful fly fishing operation he runs out of Grass Valley, California. The one throughline through all this is the way that Ragan approaches everything with a level of honesty and integrity that can’t be faked—and that sentiment is undeniable on Love And Lore, his first solo collection in ten years and one that’s being released as Hot Water Music take a well-deserved victory lap for their breakout album Vows, which came out earlier this year. A night of metal/post Hardcore 20Three Bio: 20 three is a alt metal / post-hardcore band from cornwall. Started as a solo project by guitarist Nathan Hall in 2021, becoming a full band in 2024 at college in Truro. Influences include metalcore, trip hop, electronic music but predominantly late 90s / early 00s alt metal and post-hardcore such as glassjaw, incubus, far and linkin park. They are currently working on their debut album “inertia” with singles “inertia” and “tremolo” out on streaming services. Tarrion Bio Tarrion Lore is a synth, cassette loop and drum machine iteration of the main band. Jack Harris on drum machine & tape decks, Stan Ware on synth & Chris Muirhead on vocals and nightmare box. Influenced by sci fi, cosmic horror & dystopian fiction the project explores the history, politics and social mores of the species known as Tarrion. Musically, influences range from blues, vaudeville, modern noise rock, avant crooner, trip-hop, gothic soundscaping & krautrock. Katy Richardson captures footage from nature which she projects onto the band at live events. The Tarrion are Real.

THE GENTLE SPRING The Gentle Spring are a chamber pop group based in Paris, consisting of Michael Hiscock, Émilie Guillaumot and Jérémie Orsel. Michael has an illustrious pop history, having been a founder member of The Field Mice, one of the most beloved bands on Sarah Records in the 1990s. The Gentle Spring recorded a debut album ‘Looking Back At The World’ in 2025. Their second album, ’Northernhay’, will be released by Skep Wax Records on 22nd January 2027. RACHEL LOVE Rachel was a co-founder and guitarist/singer/songwriter of the beloved post-punk and proto-indie pop trio, Dolly Mixture, who blended 1960s girl-group harmonies and melodic pop hooks. Rachel emerged decades later with solo work that channels gentle psychedelia, pastoral textures, and analog warmth. Her latest album, “Lyra,” a tribute to her late husband Steve Lovell, was recorded at home with her sons David and Syd on guitar and bass, with David also co-producing..
