Superfriends

JT Soar · Nottingham

Giant Deer are proud to present Superfriends at JT Soar on 28th October! Supported by Fern Veh + Lou Strong. Superfriends have never been shy about wearing their feelings on their sleeves. Their big and bright punk songs, sounding somewhere between Jeff Rosenstock and The Mountain Goats, will hit you like a joyous shot in the arm! They tackle such themes as friendship, identity, and just having a really great time with your pals. Fern Veh is a collaborative indie project led by Ada Gilfoyle, taking influence from the likes of bedroom pop, post-rock, and early 00s indie rock. Expansive, shimmering walls of sound meet intimate hushed vocals, layered harmonies, and delicate melodies. FFO: Broken Social Scene, Carissa's Weird, TWIABP, Foxing, Sufjan Stevens Lou Strong is the stripped-back folk-punk project from Eloise of Cheap Dirty Horse. She channels all the rowdy queer trash folk-punk energy you expect, but with a direct focus on personal story telling £10 ADV All Ages Show BYOB JT ACCESSABILITY INFO.. The Definitive Rat Pack with Nancy Sinatra

Boisdale of Canary Wharf · London

Table reservations from 6pm | Live Music: 8.30pm “Each performer is a master of his craft...”London’s Magic FM The Definitive Rat Pack returns to Boisdale with Stephen Triffitt as Frank Sinatra, Mark Adams as Dean Martin and Darren Charles as Sammy Davis Jr, joined by Hannah Lindsey as Nancy Sinatra. This is the Rat Pack done by performers who have lived with the material for years, not a loose swing set in dinner jackets. Triffitt and Adams starred in the West End’s The Rat Pack: Live from Las Vegas, and Darren Charles brings the Sammy Davis Jr sharpness: rhythm, pace, humour and that switch from charm to attack when the song needs it. Hannah Lindsey adds the Nancy Sinatra edge, taking the night from classic Vegas swing into 60s pop cool with "Bang Bang", "These Boots Are Made for Walkin’" and "Somethin’ Stupid". That contrast matters: Sinatra’s late-night phrasing, Dean’s relaxed swing, Sammy’s snap and Nancy’s cool, clipped delivery all sit in different corners of the same room. Expect "Fly Me to the Moon", "That’s Amore", "Mr Bojangles", "Bang Bang" and "Somethin’ Stupid", with a live band keeping the pace tight and the arrangements properly dressed. Boi...
