Superfriends

JT Soar · Nottingham

Giant Deer are proud to present Superfriends at JT Soar on 28th October! Supported by Fern Veh + Lou Strong. Superfriends have never been shy about wearing their feelings on their sleeves. Their big and bright punk songs, sounding somewhere between Jeff Rosenstock and The Mountain Goats, will hit you like a joyous shot in the arm! They tackle such themes as friendship, identity, and just having a really great time with your pals. Fern Veh is a collaborative indie project led by Ada Gilfoyle, taking influence from the likes of bedroom pop, post-rock, and early 00s indie rock. Expansive, shimmering walls of sound meet intimate hushed vocals, layered harmonies, and delicate melodies. FFO: Broken Social Scene, Carissa's Weird, TWIABP, Foxing, Sufjan Stevens Lou Strong is the stripped-back folk-punk project from Eloise of Cheap Dirty Horse. She channels all the rowdy queer trash folk-punk energy you expect, but with a direct focus on personal story telling £10 ADV All Ages Show BYOB JT ACCESSABILITY INFO.. Consecutive Wins - album release

JT Soar · Nottingham

Consecutive Wins Jazz post-rock noise pop Nottingham Five dudes who always wanted to join Phil (of JT Soar) for one of his music making outings at an abandoned mill in Wales-- then did! We showed up with no ideas, what came out was a series of songs that captured exactly what we were feeling in that moment. °Ben Nobuto °Colin O'Brien-Lux °Jack Benjamin °Jamie Sykes °Martin Pearce https://www.instagram.com/consecutive.wins/ VIKASATI are an elusive duo from the east-midlands who perform semi-improvised jazz and broken beats. Jacob (keys) and Ant (drums, percussion) use a delicate balance of light and shade to breathe life into their nu-jazz-ish inflected melodies and intricate, dynamic progressions. Polyrhythms and fluid, textural grooves help to paint a subtle and progressive vision. JT Soar and Coffee Beat Presents.... MY PRECIOUS BUNNY (Brighton) "My Precious Bunny, the solo (6 piece live) project from Lily Wolter of dream-pop duo Penelope Isles, her debut album A Moment In My Eyes came out on 22nd May via Bella Union. Stepping out on her own, Wolter crafts music that feels like a memory: sun-faded, sprawling, and deeply alive. It’s intimate and cinematic all at once: music for late-night heart-to-hearts and long drives to nowhere in particular, every note heavy with nostalgia and motion." https://mypreciousbunny.bandcamp.com/album/a-moment-in-my-eyes PRECIOUS METALS (Sheffield etc..)
