Grace Elizabeth Harvey

Green Note · London

Grace Elizabeth Harvey wrote her EP Songs of Devotion from deep within the tangles of language and love. Formed by train journeys, second-hand bookshops and borrowed sofas, what has presented itself is a collection of songs as dynamic and exploratory as they are simple and sincere. With a background as a classical cellist and student of literature and philosophy, Grace unites the traditional with the exploratory to capture deeply moving fragments of our experience, inspired by the likes of Laura Marling, Leonard Cohen and Madison Cunningham. The year of her 2025 debut EP, Other Faith, brought two UK-wide tours, including a break into London’s grassroots folk scene, sharing stages with the likes of Chris Brain, Chloe Foy, Josienne Clarke, Villagers and Florist. She won the Young Songwriter’s Competition 2025 and has since been awarded the PPL Momentum Accelerator Fund for her upcoming EP, Songs of Devotion. With a penchant for exceptionally captivating live performances, receiving praise from national press (BBC Introducing, Still Listening, Narc, FATEA, Folking) and grassroots fans alike, Grace is quickly proving herself to be of the UK’s finest emerging songsmiths and a ‘n...

HDIF Family Disco - All-Ages Daytime Indie Club

The Phoenix Club · London

We've held the HDIF Children's disco at the End Of The Road festival since 2011, and they've been lots and lots of fun. We play our usual mixture of indie pop and soul, and the discos are a wonderful opportunity for kids to bop around to Belle & Sebastian, Allo Darlin', Ramones, Pixies and more, and for their parents to bop along with them. It can often be hard to get out to club nights once you become a parent, so these discos are as much a chance for the parents to go out dancing as they are for the kids. We also want to provide an alternative to the many rave-themed kids discos that are on offer in London. If you'd rather dance to your favourite indie pop and Motown songs with your children, then we're the disco for you! Music will be played at a reasonable level. We'll make sure that the songs aren't played too loud, but if you're worried about volume please do bring along ear defenders for your kids. Everyone is welcome at our kids discos - children, parents and family friends - but we follow similar rules to Coram's Fields - so no admission for adults unless they are accompanied by a child. About The Phoenix: The venue is a wonderful basement bar with a wooden dancefloor. Ent...

The Holy Mothers + Taurus Trakker + Brigandage

Dublin Castle · London

The Holy Mothers - Christmas is just around the corner, so the Holy Mother is needless to say at the forefront of our thoughts. But this be Mothers plural and it’s JoJo upfront , once of JoJo and the Teeth, much loved as they were for their strident, quirky punk n roll. So we await this new vehicle of JoJo’s with about the same excitement and anticipation as the thought of unwrapping Sindy and Action Man of a Xmas back in the day. With words like ‘ferocious’ ‘theatrical’ and ‘dark’ on the lips of admirers, breath is bated. Welcome back JoJo. Taurus Trakker - West London punk duo legends who in their spare time recently created a much applauded stage show/musical all about the rise of the punk rock phenomenon in the UK, it being the golden jubilee n all that. Great combo anyway, with rebel rock nuances that suggest The Clash without ever copying them. And one Mick Jones has been known to adjust knobs and sliders for them I believe so there ya go. Great stuff. Brigandage- with Michelle upfront, just as you’d want it, are well and truly back on the circuit playing those ringing, bright eyed and bushy tailed sassy punk numbers that got the them called Posipunk back in...

Kissinger Effect Album Launch

Walthamstow Trades Hall · London

"We started out as a bunch of friends getting together to play punk covers in a garden shed. After the gradual addition of our own songs, an album’s worth of irreverent pub rock protest songs came together. Our politically charged songs cover a range of emotions between p*ssed off and angry, with the occasional song of utter despair thrown in. There are no ballads or love songs. Ironically, Richie (guitar) prefers analog synths, Tony (bass) prefers Motown, Balázs (drums) prefers guitars and basses, while Kevin (singer/lyricist) prefers to have a lie down. Come to our album launch!"
