Kissinger Effect Album Launch

Sunday 29 November 2026 · Doors 14:00

Walthamstow Trades Hall, London

About this event

Kissinger Effect Album Launch is on Sunday 29 November 2026 at Walthamstow Trades Hall, London, with doors at 14:00. Tickets start at £3.30, including the booking fee.

"We started out as a bunch of friends getting together to play punk covers in a garden shed. After the gradual addition of our own songs, an album’s worth of irreverent pub rock protest songs came together. Our politically charged songs cover a range of emotions between p*ssed off and angry, with the occasional song of utter despair thrown in. There are no ballads or love songs. Ironically, Richie (guitar) prefers analog synths, Tony (bass) prefers Motown, Balázs (drums) prefers guitars and basses, while Kevin (singer/lyricist) prefers to have a lie down. Come to our album launch!"

NOISE TABLE: Furrowed & Colin Webster / Hannah Dargavel-Leafe / Karina Townsend

Walthamstow Trades Hall · London

"Experimental music, improvisation, sound, art and performance. Live sets from Furrowed (Brighton) & Colin Webster (London), Hannah Dargavel-Leafe (Walthamstow) and Karina Townsend (London). Furrowed presents live lathe cutting, sampling Colin Webster's abstract saxophone improvisation, a first meeting in a brand new collaboration. Hannah Dargavel-Leafe performs on turntables, sampling field recordings taken at a shipwreck mixed with live wind. Karina Townsend explores continuous systems with careful modulation, walking a tightrope where things can break or behave unexpectedly. Trigger warning: DIY bagpipes! Weeknight friendly 10pm finish. Open Merch Table: Bring your tapes to swap, share or sell. "

Red Imp & Rock N Roll Book club present "Wonderin' Y: How SLADE's drummer survived

Walthamstow Trades Hall · London

Wonderin' Y: How Slade's Drummer Survived In the summer of 1973 at the height of his fame, Slade’s drummer Don Powell was involved in a devastating car accident, leaving him with brain injury that resulted in severe and lasting memory loss. Award winning writer and performer Ian Pearce collaborated with Don to recreate the emotional journey to recovery in this gripping and emotional one man show. Imagine being on stage in front of thousands of people in the US and you can't remember your number one hit Cum On Feel the Noize ! Don Powell will appear in person at Trades Hall, with Ian to discuss the events and to take questions from the audience. This is a unique opportunity for all classic rock fans to experience a truthful performance and join in the conversation with the legendary drummer himself. Ian Pearce has achieved a remarkable success. This could so easily be a tragic show, but instead, we experience hope, determination and, ultimately loud, ferocious and beating revival. Richard Cox . August 2024. Edinburgh.

HDIF Family Disco - All-Ages Daytime Indie Club

The Phoenix Club · London

We've held the HDIF Children's disco at the End Of The Road festival since 2011, and they've been lots and lots of fun. We play our usual mixture of indie pop and soul, and the discos are a wonderful opportunity for kids to bop around to Belle & Sebastian, Allo Darlin', Ramones, Pixies and more, and for their parents to bop along with them. It can often be hard to get out to club nights once you become a parent, so these discos are as much a chance for the parents to go out dancing as they are for the kids. We also want to provide an alternative to the many rave-themed kids discos that are on offer in London. If you'd rather dance to your favourite indie pop and Motown songs with your children, then we're the disco for you! Music will be played at a reasonable level. We'll make sure that the songs aren't played too loud, but if you're worried about volume please do bring along ear defenders for your kids. Everyone is welcome at our kids discos - children, parents and family friends - but we follow similar rules to Coram's Fields - so no admission for adults unless they are accompanied by a child. About The Phoenix: The venue is a wonderful basement bar with a wooden dancefloor. Ent...

The Holy Mothers + Taurus Trakker + Brigandage

Dublin Castle · London

The Holy Mothers - Christmas is just around the corner, so the Holy Mother is needless to say at the forefront of our thoughts. But this be Mothers plural and it’s JoJo upfront , once of JoJo and the Teeth, much loved as they were for their strident, quirky punk n roll. So we await this new vehicle of JoJo’s with about the same excitement and anticipation as the thought of unwrapping Sindy and Action Man of a Xmas back in the day. With words like ‘ferocious’ ‘theatrical’ and ‘dark’ on the lips of admirers, breath is bated. Welcome back JoJo. Taurus Trakker - West London punk duo legends who in their spare time recently created a much applauded stage show/musical all about the rise of the punk rock phenomenon in the UK, it being the golden jubilee n all that. Great combo anyway, with rebel rock nuances that suggest The Clash without ever copying them. And one Mick Jones has been known to adjust knobs and sliders for them I believe so there ya go. Great stuff. Brigandage- with Michelle upfront, just as you’d want it, are well and truly back on the circuit playing those ringing, bright eyed and bushy tailed sassy punk numbers that got the them called Posipunk back in...
