About this event

Lainey Dempsey is on Sunday 15 November 2026 at Ye Olde Rose and Crown Theatre Pub, London, with doors at 19:30. Tickets start at £11, including the booking fee.

Influenced and inspired by Scotland and Ireland’s wealth of historical and contemporary traditional song bearers, Lainey writes and sings about rebels, underdogs, the supernatural and the broken hearted. Her unaccompanied voice creates an intimacy and a human connection that invites audiences to travel with her into the stories of the songs she sings. Lainey’s first album ‘Letle Telt’ was self-released in May 2023. Many songs are historical, some mythical, almost all have a strong female voice either in the writing or the telling. Much of Letle Telt was recorded around a campfire in the Highlands of Scotland. Half the songs were found in antique song books and are rarely sung today if at all. The other half are new compositions and have been inspired by tales from Scottish history and lore.

Ruth and Sadie Price with Lisa Oliver

Ye Olde Rose and Crown Theatre Pub · London

Ruth and Sadie were brought up in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire and were heavily influenced by traditional song from an early age. They have sung mainly unaccompanied songs from a wide repertoire, which includes: songs from their family tradition and West Yorkshire; songs which they have learned from the family’s associations with North America (Ruth was born in Canada); and some contemporary stuff. However, they have more recently been singing with the accompaniment of Lisa Oliver on harp and we are delighted to welcome all three back to the club

Sunday Jazz Lunch | Frank Sinatra

Boisdale of Canary Wharf · London

“Stephen Triffitt is the best. The greatest. Because he captures the soul of my Father.” — Frank Sinatra Jr. Some performers study Sinatra. Stephen Triffitt inhabits him. Direct from Las Vegas, he brings a show built on timing, phrasing and the quiet confidence that defined Sinatra at his peak. From "My Way" and "New York, New York" to "I’ve Got You Under My Skin" and "That’s Life", the set moves through songs that were written to be lived in, not just sung. Backed by a superb live band, Triffitt delivers them with control and ease, letting the arrangements breathe while keeping that unmistakable swing intact. His credentials are not decorative. Triffitt starred as Sinatra in the original West End production of The Rat Pack Live and has sold out the London Palladium, building a reputation as one of the most respected interpreters of this music anywhere. This is Sinatra as it works best, up close, well played and without excess. Alongside the performance, guests can enjoy Boisdale’s two-course Sunday lunch, including the 18-hour slow-roasted dry-aged rib of Scottish beef, goose fat roast potatoes and classic sides, with vegetarian options also available. The Rheingans Sisters - Matinee Show

Green Note · London

Critics have hailed their music as “extraordinary” and “fearless”, with The Guardian describing their 2024 album Start Close In as a “radical leap”. In three special live shows this Autumn at Camden’s best small music venue, The Rheingans Sisters will revisit material from their five-album discography to celebrate their life’s work together so far as well as showcasing new material from the duo plus both sisters’ solo songwriting. In these uniquely stripped back and intimate shows, expect the haunting BBC Radio 2 Folk Award-winning song Mackerel to finally return alongside the timeless beauty of old classics like October Song, the epic balladry of This Forest and the wildness of Urjen plus brand new songs from both Rowan and Anna. A decade and a half of sisterly artistry distilled into a breathtaking evening; a chance to glimpse back with The Rheingans Sisters before their next leap forward.
