SAM DRAISEY AND THE REVOLT

Saturday 13 March 2027 · Doors 18:30

Katie Fitzgerald's, Stourbridge

About this event

SAM DRAISEY AND THE REVOLT is on Saturday 13 March 2027 at Katie Fitzgerald's, Stourbridge, with doors at 18:30. Tickets start at £8.80, including the booking fee.

We are delighted that Sam Draisey and The Revolt are the first act to headline "Local &Live", Songs of Anger and Redemption's new programme of gigs highlighting local talent. Given one word to describe his music, Sam Draisey will always choose 'honest'. Whether it's politics, family, solidarity or heartache, Sam's folk-punk style will leave you in no doubt as to where he stands on the subject. Joined by The Revolt for a rare full band show, expect it to be bigger, louder and more passionate than ever. Influenced by the likes of Billy Bragg, Damien Rice and Cat Stevens, Sam has been plying his trade all over the country on the independent festival circuit and beyond. Audiences have been known to laugh, cry, sing and nod along (sometimes in time with the music, sometimes in agreement with the subject matter!).

Vincent Flatts Final drive

Katie Fitzgerald's · Stourbridge

If you've seen the Birmingham (UK) band on the road, you'll know what they're all about. If not, you'll figure it out real fast once you hear 'em. Essentially, Vincent Flatts Final Drive is a southern-infused, blues 'n boogie band, with country rock and exciting boogie at its core. But while the music goes through the genre gears, one thing is constant: Steve 'Bertie' Burton's killer voice.

Joshua Burnell - Escape from Condor Keep Tour 2026

Katie Fitzgerald's · Stourbridge

Like an intergalactic troubadour who crash-landed last century, Joshua Burnell makes retro chamber pop for the modern world. Fresh off the back of a UK tour including a growing number of sold out dates, Burnell is unleashing his second tour and album this year: Condor Keep & Other Stories.Born in France, but raised on the move, including years in Linlithgow, Kendal and Yorkshire, the eclecticism of Joshua’s influences mirrors this restless movement. There are shades of 70s rock, singer-songwriter folk and classical sophistication drawn together with a bookish edge. His music has been compared to The Decemberists, Al Stewart and The Observer wrote: “much of it would fit comfortably in a Peter Gabriel-era Genesis set.” His show feels like poring over an anthology of otherworldly tales yet with the flamboyance and emotion of a stadium rock show.Sensitive to the social challenges we all face in today’s age, Joshua creates universes to offer both a temporary escape but also to reflect today’s injustices through his characters and stories with the understanding that bringing people together is the remedy. The standing ovation he received at Fairport’s Cropredy Convention amon...

Fionn Regan

Kitchen Garden Cafe · Birmingham

Fionn Regan has fine-tuned a sensibility of his own since the acoustic poetry of his debut album, 2006’s Mercury-shortlisted "The End of History". Since then, he has travelled between band-based detours and the gleaming likes of 2011’s "100 Acres of Sycamore", whose worry-worn beauty “Dogwood Blossom” drew new audiences when it found kindred spirits in two TV shows, romantic lockdown hit Normal People and Shane Meadows’s This Is England 86. Oscar-winning actor Cillian Murphy featured in the video for 2017’s “The Meeting Of The Waters” while elsewhere Regan has been nominated for Choice, Meteor Ireland and Shortlist awards, sampled by Bon Iver, photographed by Annie Leibovitz for Vanity Fair and made an honorary member of the Trinity College Literary Society. “I feel really lucky in the sense that the music I make has its own climate or landscape,” says Regan. Fionn Regan's journey as an Irish singer-songwriter is marked by both critical and commercial success his deeply resonant music has built a loyal following worldwide, ensuring consistently high demand for his intimate and emotionally charged live performances. “I had a craving for something minimal,” sa...
