Vincent Flatts Final drive

Katie Fitzgerald's · Stourbridge

If you've seen the Birmingham (UK) band on the road, you'll know what they're all about. If not, you'll figure it out real fast once you hear 'em. Essentially, Vincent Flatts Final Drive is a southern-infused, blues 'n boogie band, with country rock and exciting boogie at its core. But while the music goes through the genre gears, one thing is constant: Steve 'Bertie' Burton's killer voice.

Joshua Burnell - Escape from Condor Keep Tour 2026

Katie Fitzgerald's · Stourbridge

Like an intergalactic troubadour who crash-landed last century, Joshua Burnell makes retro chamber pop for the modern world. Fresh off the back of a UK tour including a growing number of sold out dates, Burnell is unleashing his second tour and album this year: Condor Keep & Other Stories.Born in France, but raised on the move, including years in Linlithgow, Kendal and Yorkshire, the eclecticism of Joshua’s influences mirrors this restless movement. There are shades of 70s rock, singer-songwriter folk and classical sophistication drawn together with a bookish edge. His music has been compared to The Decemberists, Al Stewart and The Observer wrote: “much of it would fit comfortably in a Peter Gabriel-era Genesis set.” His show feels like poring over an anthology of otherworldly tales yet with the flamboyance and emotion of a stadium rock show.Sensitive to the social challenges we all face in today’s age, Joshua creates universes to offer both a temporary escape but also to reflect today’s injustices through his characters and stories with the understanding that bringing people together is the remedy. The standing ovation he received at Fairport’s Cropredy Convention amon...

Dan Owen

Katie Fitzgerald's · Stourbridge

Known for his arresting, husky vocals and gritty, blues-infused pop/rock, Dan Owen is a British alternative singer/songwriter from Shropshire, England. Owen became interested in music at an early age, taking up guitar at nine years old and performing with his sister, who had taken up singing. Their Dad encouraged them to perform at open-mike events at local pubs throughout their teens. After his sister left for University, Owen took to performing solo and began appearing at live events at various pubs and clubs throughout the area surrounding Shropshire. Performing under the name “Bluesboy Dan”, he gradually earned a committed fan base with his passionate versions of songs by artists such as Robert Johnson and John Lee Hooker while also focusing on writing his own material. In 2012 an online video of the young guitarist performing Bob Dylan’s “The Ballad of Hollis Brown” began to generate widespread attention. After a couple more years of relentless performing in which he began to include his own songs, he was signed to Atlantic Records in 2015 and put out his debut EP, Bad for Me, later that year. In 2016 he put out his second EP, Open Hands & Enemies, before a European...

DIZZY LIZZY

Katie Fitzgerald's · Stourbridge

Dizzy Lizzy are a fantastic live tribute act, dedicated to one of Rock’s all time legends ‘Phil Lynott’ & THIN LIZZY. Established in 1994, their sound & set-list faithfully recreate that trademark Lizzy sound. One of the country’s leading and most dynamic tribute acts, they are the only act to have headlined both, the ‘Vibe for Philo’ in Dublin & ‘Remember Phil & Gary’ event in Holland. Also appearing at many prestigious venues, around Britain, such as the Cavern- Liverpool, Matthew street festival, O2 Academies up & down the country. Plus other large capacity venues including Butlin's. They have also performed and toured with the original Thin Lizzy guitarist Eric Bell. (Pic) Eric Bell’s reaction on first seeing the band…’I could only watch three numbers owing to the emotions. The resemblance to Phil and the mannerisms and playing, it was spooky – it made the hairs stand up on the back of my neck…’ They can also be heard on the documentary CD ‘I am just a cowboy’. Released in the year 2000.

SAM DRAISEY AND THE REVOLT

Katie Fitzgerald's · Stourbridge

We are delighted that Sam Draisey and The Revolt are the first act to headline "Local &Live", Songs of Anger and Redemption's new programme of gigs highlighting local talent. Given one word to describe his music, Sam Draisey will always choose 'honest'. Whether it's politics, family, solidarity or heartache, Sam's folk-punk style will leave you in no doubt as to where he stands on the subject. Joined by The Revolt for a rare full band show, expect it to be bigger, louder and more passionate than ever. Influenced by the likes of Billy Bragg, Damien Rice and Cat Stevens, Sam has been plying his trade all over the country on the independent festival circuit and beyond. Audiences have been known to laugh, cry, sing and nod along (sometimes in time with the music, sometimes in agreement with the subject matter!).
