We're delighted to welcome the fantastic Jon Doran & the Northern Assembly back to Otley. This is a groundbreaking new collaboration seeking to capture the excitement that lies within traditional song. The trio aims to breathe new life into old stories from across the British Isles, injecting the energy they feel these narratives deserve. With striking vocals from Jon Doran (BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award Finalist 2019), combined with the virtuosic playing of Jordan Aikin (“trailblazer” - Calum MacCrimmon, Breabach), and Heather Ferrier (“accordion virtuoso” – Tom Robinson), the trio perform songs that create “a cohesive musical framework with intricately layered arrangements, each song from the traditional folk canon unfolding a vivid drama” (Folk London). Their eponymous debut EP, released in 2024, gained an overwhelming amount of positive feedback and secured airplay on shows such as BBC Radio 2, BBC Introducing North East, and BBC Radio Lincolnshire. “Filled to the brim with energy, excitement and a lust for life” (TradFolk), the trio move away from a conventional folk-song performance style and lean heavily upon their varied musical upbringings and experiences...

Jonny Brook, he's a mad old bag of disabled, but he's got so many hilarious tales about that life, and how shambolic he's become at living it. As you'll find out during the show, he started off as a normal, but has become disabled, hugely disabled.................. thankfully though, he's hilariously disabled. This show will take you through tales of his hilarious inability to talk to his GP, Nurses, Specialists, Surgeons and many more members of the medical community, about his inability to maturely deal with having the legs you'd have, if you could buy them off TEMU. In addition to this, you'll hear tales of his inability to process all manner of humans, that want to speak with him, about how damaged he is. Whether it's a Taxi Driver, Semi Naked Pensioner, Slow Reader of Tattoos, or compassionate Sex Workers, Jonny and his show will entertain you hugely, with so many tales of how incapable he is, at just being normal at all, anymore....................... LANDMARQ Now in their 36th year, neo-prog rockers, Landmarq, are in the process of producing their 6th studio album - their 11th overall, counting their live album releases. But the as yet untitled new album will be the first with the newest members of the band, lead vocalist Wolf Campen and drummer Andy Allen who, to be fair, are not so new, having joined the Landmarq family back in 2018. Since then, along with long-time members Uwe Drose, Mike Varty and Steve Gee, Landmarq have played a series of gigs and festivals whilst also working on the new material. Unfortunately, various delays and setbacks (including two years of the pandemic lockdown) have held things up but the band are determined to complete and release the new album as soon as possible. Watch this space! ."..Landmarq entertained with an enthralling set of (their) classic songs. Front man Wolf Campen is an engaging character, but more importantly sings his heart out...Landmarq never fail to deliver a great set, and they are well received by the crowd...” Graham Thomas, The Progressive Aspect, NVRF 2025 “...LANDMARQ played a lovely set of neo-prog and symphonic prog rock from their extensive catalogue, full of emoti...

Luke Harrower is an asexual comedian with an arsenal of silly quick fire gags. He brings an infectious energy to the stage, and is hot on the rise in the Midlands and East Anglia comedy scene. This work in progress show aims to shine a light on dating as a late-realising asexual, the troubles that come with it, and the struggles Luke had to go through when faced with numerous dates with people who found him a bit too weird. (The show is pretty light-hearted all things considered.)

"Blessed with one of those soulful, heaven-sent voices that soars with emotion or plunges into brooding intensity" (The Musician Magazine). It’s impossible to not be totally amazed by Luke Jackson, the way he commands such a presence up there on the stage. It may well just be one man and his guitar but the exuberance with which he plays and sings opens the listener’s mind up wide. When his voice is belting out a song it’s like the force of a hundred folk, all concentrated through his captivating solo vocal. Right from the off he shows he means business. The power packed behind his voice grabs your complete attention as soon as it begins. "He is one of the most distinctive voices, both literally and figuratively, on the contemporary folk scene" (Folk Radio UK). So you’ve had a terrible day and think your mind may not be in the right place to relax and enjoy a night of live music? Wrong! There’s no chance of that with Luke on the case. Whatever troubles you might have had are smashed to smithereens. The throttle is opened fully and even early on he cements in your mind the cast iron certainty you’ll be leaving the place having been well and truly awed. Put simply, Luke Ja...
